Hundertwasser Exhibition in Traben-Trarbach
The Tourist Information Office in Traben-Trarbach is presenting the exhibition HUNDERTWASSER IN TRABEN-TRARBACH in the Stadthaus Alter Bahnhof in cooperation with the company ExtraMax Art Exhibition. From 26 March to 31 October 2010 the exhibition will display an impressive selection of graphic works by the world-famous artist together with extensive documentation of his architectural projects.
Friedensreich Dunkelbunt Regentag Hundertwasser (1928-2000) is aptly the creator of works of art that are so colourful and striking as his German self-created name and they captivate both young and old. The world-famous building that was built in Vienna according to Hundertwasser’s ideas between 1983 and 1985 is still visited to this day by millions of tourists.
Hundertwasser in Traben-Trarbach documents the work of one of the most popular artists of the 20th century as an artist, architect and ecologist. The international reputation of the artist became firmly established following an eventful career which began with his distinctive paintings and graphic works and continued with his campaign for more nature- and human-friendly architecture as well as with worldwide ecological campaigns.
The exhibition, which can be seen from 26 March to 31 October 2010 in the Stadthaus Alter Bahnhof in Traben-Trarbach, will also be enriched by extensive documentation in the form of photographs, texts and manuscripts about the life and work of the cosmopolitan as well as by didactic material. Articles and gift ideas from the renowned museum shop of KunstHausWien will be available for purchase in the exhibition shop.

Guided tours:
Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays at 3 pm
Groups can visit the exhibition before 12 noon and request a special guided tour at any time.
